Sherpa Boy

Khumjung
Village just above Namche. This is the site of the famous
Khunde hospital and Hillary school which was built by Edmund
Hillary, the first person to summit Mt. Everest along with Tenzing
Sherpa.

Dole enroute to Gokyo lakes. This does not fall on the main Everest
Base Camp trail.

Machermo enroute to Gokyo.

Gokyo Lake. Many people head to Everest Base Camp but those
who have been to both areas argue that Gokyo is more beautiful.
Ofcourse Everest Base Camp is right below Mt. Everest and so the
argument continues....

Gokyo Village

Ngozumpa Glacier as seen from Gokyo Ri. Another example of
a receding glacier. Ask Jenny Gurung who's the expert about receding
glaciers when you are in Nepal.

Everest from Gokyo Ri. Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Lhotse, all 8,000
meters or higher can be viewed from Gokyo Ri.

View from Cho La. This pass connects the Everest Base Camp trail
with the Gokyo valley. Not technical but a pretty long day.

The other side of Cho La

Gorakshep. The last village before Everest Base Camp.
